TUTORIAL: How to check for FAKE pictures

Hi guys
Given that I've seen lots of people asking for info about either new or reviewed sp, here's a brief tutorial on how to check for fake pics.

Use either Chrome browser (Windows or Mac) or Safari (Mac) and follow the steps.

1) Go to the announcement of interest.

2) Right click on the suspected picture as select "Copy image address" if you are using Safari (or "Copy image URL" if your are using Chrome)

3) Go to http://images.google.com/

4) In the box where you normally enter what to search for, you'll see a little camera icon at the right. Click it.

5) When you click the camera icon, you'll get the option to PASTE the URL of the suspected pic. Then click on "Search by Image"

6) Once the search results are displayed, scroll past the "Visually similar images" photos to see if the EXACT SAME photo has been found on other sites

I use Safari as my default browser. It also work on Google Chrome. Other browsers (such as Internet Explorer) may work differently when you are trying to get the URL of the image.

A much easier way, while you have google images open in one tab, click on the suspicious picture and grab it to the search line on google images while holding your click. Takes two seconds.

Also a little common sense can tell ya .... such as when a pic in some tropical location or looks tgtbt.

With the iPad or on your iPhone there an app called Picfind with that app you have the ability to search a picture using Five Search Engines at once. The two major ones Google and Tineye the app cost $1.99 and it's well worth it I have on my iPad 2 and on my iPad with retina display and on my iPhone 5

If you are using Google Chrome, there are 2 extensions that you can add to Chrome. One is TinEye Reverse Image Search 1.1.2, the other is Search by Image (by Google) 1.4.3
By right clicking on the photo, a drop-down menu pops up, and from there you can click on the Google Image search, no dragging and dropping required.

Yep. That will catch most of them.

Also, if it's an Asian massage place and it's not Studio9, the pictures are fake (with a certainty approaching 100%).
